Game 1

McCook MNB Seniors were triumphant over North Platte Nationals 6-4 on Sunday. North Platte opened the scoring in the first after Greeno was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. A single by Bryson Gullion gave McCook MNB Seniors the lead, 2-1, in the top of the second. Townsend singled, which helped North Platte tie the game at two in the bottom of the second. A double by Moerke gave North Platte the lead, 4-2, in the bottom of the fourth. McCook MNB Seniors captured the lead, 5-4, in the top of the fifth after Trey Tiller singled, Espn Hall grounded out, and North Platte Nationals committed an error, each scoring one run. Gabe Roberts started the game for McCook MNB Seniors. They surrendered five hits and four runs (three earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking two. Greeno started on the bump for North Platte. They surrendered two hits and two runs over two innings, striking out two and walking four. The reliever gave up zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking one. Brody Graham took the loss for McCook MNB Seniors. They went three innings, allowing three runs on four hits, striking out four and walking three. Moerke started the game for North Platte. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out none and walking one. Tristan Campbell led McCook MNB Seniors with one run batted in.
