McCook MNB Seniors had trouble keeping up with Gana Trucking Hickman Post 105 Srs in a 14-3 loss on Saturday at Hastings. Gana Trucking Hickman Post 105 Srs got on the board in the top of the first inning after John Hood doubled, scoring two runs, JT Druba singled, scoring one run, and Colton Homolka singled, scoring one run. Gana Trucking Hickman Post 105 Srs added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Hood walked, Druba singled, and Crew Moeller scored after tagging up, each scoring one run. Gana Trucking Hickman Post 105 Srs scored seven runs on one hit in the top of the sixth inning. Druba was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Austen Holt was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Lane Druba singled, scoring two runs, Tristan Campbell induced Wyatt Fortner to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Tanner Klein drew a walk, scoring one run, and Moeller was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Druba earned the win for Gana Trucking Hickman Post 105 Srs. The starting pitcher allowed nine hits and three runs over six innings, striking out two and walking four. Gabe Roberts took the loss for McCook MNB Seniors. They went four innings, giving up seven runs on 11 hits, striking out one and walking four. Roberts, Bryson Gullion, and Trey Tiller each collected two hits for McCook MNB Seniors. Quentin Terry, Espn Hall, and Tiller each drove in one run for McCook MNB Seniors. Grand Island Home Federal added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Coslor hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Haubold tripled, scoring two runs. Grand Island Home Federal extended their early lead with five runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Ian Arends, Gannon, Coslor, Sack, and Haubold. Brody Graham led things off on the mound for McCook MNB Seniors. They allowed four hits and seven runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out none and walking three. Gabe Ruiz led things off on the bump for Grand Island Home Federal. They surrendered two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking none. Noah Mashek and Simon Garcia each collected one hit for McCook MNB Seniors. McCook MNB Seniors were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Mashek made the most plays with two. Grand Island Home Federal amassed 15 hits in the game. Haubold seized on their opportunities, leading Grand Island Home Federal with five runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. Campbell singled in the first scoring three, singled in the third scoring one, and singled in the fourth scoring one. McCook MNB Seniors scored 11 runs in the first inning on the way to victory. Quentin Terry doubled, scoring one run, Espn Hall drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Campbell singled, scoring three runs, Trenton Raile doubled, scoring one run, Gabe Roberts singled, scoring two runs, Miles Pollmann drew a walk, scoring one run, and Simon Garcia was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. McCook MNB Seniors added one run in the third. Campbell singled, making the score 12-1. Noah M earned the win for McCook MNB Seniors. They surrendered two hits and two runs (one earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out three and walking none. Tripp Davenport took the loss for Overton Bandits. The starting pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, giving up 11 runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out none and walking six. Raile led things off on the mound for McCook MNB Seniors.
